CHAMBER COMMITTEES
We know you have great ideas and like to take action. We are always looking for volunteers interested in strengthening the business community in Kensington and surrounding areas. The best way to do this is by joining one of the Chamber’s committees. Committees, made up of members, board members and community stakeholders, are the key to carrying out the Chamber’s priorities. Policy & Advocacy Committee
The role of the Policy & Advocacy Committee is to be the voice of business on issues affecting the business community in Kensington and surrounding areas. The committee will develop positions of the Kensington Chamber on local and provincial issues. Meetings will be held as determined by the chair.
Community Improvement and Heart of PEI Committee
The role of the Community Improvement and STEP Committee is to promote Kensington and Area as a viable place to do business on PEI, support initiatives aimed at improving, beautifying, and promoting Kensington and area. The committee will coordinate projects through volunteers, the business community and other community groups to promote, improve and beautify Kensington and area. This committee will be comprised of members, non-members, a student liaison and other interested community groups. Meetings will be held monthly, or as determined by the chair.
Membership and Events Committee
The role of the Membership and Events Committee is to develop strategies to address membership retention and satisfaction and to organize Chamber functions that encourage participation and delivers maximum value for all business sectors of the Chamber membership. Meetings are held as necessary at the call of the chair.
Finance Committee
The role of the Finance Committee is to develop budgets, financial statements and documents as required by the Chamber. Meetings are held as necessary at the call of the chair.
